Faster reads on large repositories
Hearth now builds a lightweight map of your repository once and reuses it, so the first read of a task is about three times faster on big projects.
On a repository with more than 50,000 files, the first step of a task used to spend most of its time listing folders. The map is built once, kept up to date as files change, and stored beside your session files.
In our own tests the time to the first edit fell from 41 seconds to 13 on the largest project we have. Small projects are unchanged.
